The context, on a macro level, is the culture or "soil"; into which
GoChristians are planting seeds of the
GospelMessage . On a micro level, the context is seen as the people who live in specific groupings with whom
GoChristians are building bridges.
In order to discover effective ways to see seeds of faith grow, the sower needs to know what type of soil will be receiving the seeds, or message. Effective bridge-building communication of the Gospel message to those individuals belonging to a culture, geographical area or ethnic/subculture sub-grouping demands a knowledge of the general characteristics of the receivers of Gospel communication. This communication can be in the form of words, images, impressions of churches, impressions of Christians, and/or personal relationships.
Acknowledging that each group of people and each person will respond differently, based upon a unique set of experiences, histories and beliefs about life, motivates
GoChristians to make an effort to analyze social patterns.
